While many athletes started competing in football as children, I didn't find my true passion for the game until middle school. I immediately took to playing football because I loved all aspects of the game.
Playing this game, you need be tough, because you are going to be challenged every day on the field. From the snap of the ball, the game is not predictable and the challenge is enormous, the end result is if you are lucky to play this game, you will become addicted.
I was born in 2006, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, home of the Steelers, where black and gold runs in your veins. Football is a way of life in the Steel country and there are so many great players from this region. For me, I especially appreciate and respect the talent of Steelers Linebacker T.J. Watt.
When I am not playing football, I enjoy running track and lifting weights. My favorite subject in school is chemistry and computer science. I also enjoy writing for PittsburghUrbanMedia.com as a sports writer and I am a photographer for the SSA yearbook. I am also on the Black Student Union committee at SSA. During the summer I work as a technology counselor and I also work with Dicks Sports Goods corporation part-time in retail.
I am proud of being a MVP in a game during my senior year, leading the track team as a captain and having my photography selected for the year book cover.
Football is a positive force in my life, I really enjoy grinding under the Friday night lights where I can showcase my linebacker and running back skills playing for Shady Side Academy as a junior. I have been playing football since the 6th grade at SSA and it is truly one of the best experiences of my life. I am learning valuable lessons on the gridiron, including respect, sportsmanship and dedication. I understand in order to pursue my dream of ultimately playing college football, I have to put in the work daily to build my athletic ability as well as my academic skills.
Ultimately football is a tough sport, and if you want to be successful playing this game you have to put in the extra hard work daily, be relentless in your preparation. I am focused on becoming a better player by learning how to execute the plays, become quicker on my toes and mentally learning how to become stronger. Playing football, there will always be unpredictable challenges that come with having a successful season and you have to be ready for any unusual circumstances. Be flexible, have a good attitude and keep grinding!
Football is a passion that I am dedicated to pursuing and I hope to continue to grow as an overall athlete because I sure love this game!
Welcome to my football journey, see you in the end zone.

Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed on Jan. 2, 2023 after suffering a cardiac arrest mid-game, and he's remarkably back to football and is dedicating his life to helping others learn from this frightening experience. As an ambassador for the American Red Cross, Hamlin is traveling across the country educating the public about the importance of learning CPR. Making a stop here in Pittsburgh, Pa. Hamlin joined local high school football players to participate in a PSA that focuses on CPR. Check out the PSA:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dqp5JaWfrrAI was so excited and appreciative to meet Hamlin and join him in this effort to spread the word about CPR training especially for young people.
Attended The Dukes football camp June 3rd, the coaching staff focused on teaching fundamentals and performing multiple football specific drills that will help change my game this fall.
Intense and exhilarating had to up my game at the RMU prospect camp June 4th, great to connect with Coach Bernard Clark. The team of coaches made sure you were sore when you left.
Serious work at the Pitt camps, June 5th & 11th. Running backs coach Andre Powell knows how to make you dig deep to be the best. You get one on one attention that helps you shine!
Training with Arizona Cardinal James Conner at the Aaron Donald Football camp, worked on my running back techniques. The camp held on June 18th by super bowl champ Donald is a great opportunity.

Isaiah is a content contributor to the site. His essay – titled “Inclusion Matters” – for the Tribune’s contest focuses on his experiences as a Black teen and his vision for a better tomorrow.
“I felt what I wrote about was very important,” he said in a phone interview.
Beckham said the question about an inclusive society addresses an important topic.
“Just because you’re Black doesn’t mean you can’t break through these stereotypes,” he said. “No matter where you come from, these stereotypes can’t hold you back for long.
“It doesn’t mean you can’t make an impact on your community.”
On February 11, 2022 I was interviewed by the WQED-TV team about the importance of getting the COVID Booster. In this interview I share my thoughts about why I believe it's critical for teens to get their shots to stay alive and not spread COVID to anyone else. Through the year, we have been wearing masks and I feel safer knowing I got the booster. Especially playing sports like football, I feel the need to be more protected.
When it comes to speed and agility I continue to train with 210's to make sure I am fit through the off season.
Increasing my weight training with a personal trainer, Alex, has helped to get me stronger for my running back and linebacker positions.

As a rising sophomore at Shady Side Academy, who signed up in the running back category, this was going to be my first football camp experience, and I really had no idea what to expect, but I felt I was in shape and ready to enjoy the day. Steelers Coach Tomlin ranks high on my list as one of the most accomplished and respected NFL coaches. While I have been fortunate to see Coach Tomlin regularly at SSA games, there's so many positive things I can say about one of the most successful coaches in the NFL who knows how to handle his business.
Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald becomes Rams' all-time sack leader with No. 88.5
Meeting Donald is a dream come true. I appreciate that he makes a commitment to give back to future football players through his camp. He's a BEAST on the field.
Track season helps me with picking up my speed and endurance. I participate in track to increase my speed. I also work to increase my agility with the 210's program and other athletic trainers.
Working with my teammates each day I learn how to become a better player. For sure, teamwork makes the dream work.
2021 Football season I have secured the following stats:
21 Tackles & 2 Defensive touchdowns, played as a running back in one game, and secured 40 yards for the two plays.
